Welding Spots

Resistance welding process (a.k.a. Spot Welding) has been used on the Iron to create the keyboard shelf. The process involves applying pressure and heat to the weld area. The materials melt, fusing the parts together. This process can cause some form of deformity at the joint areas of the keyboard shelf.

Weld spots are visible throughout the whole keyboard shelf. These welds are standard and play a vital role in ensuring the shelf's structural integrity.

Paint Imperfections

Painting Iron requires a special primer and paint formulated for metal. This is to prevent the Iron from rusting and corroding. As the painting process is on the industrial grade, there will be areas where the paint is not even out - could result in thicker splotches or areas with a thinner layer of paint. This is considered acceptable quality standard and does not impair the usability of the shelf.

Splotches of paint can be carefully sanded out to make it more even.

The wood panel used in this keyboard shelf is Pine wood which will exhibit some streaks and spots. This is the wood’s natural texture. This wood panel is an optional wood piece to enhance the aesthetics of the keyboard shelf.

The wood piece does not provide any form of structural re-enforcement to the keyboard shelf.

Pine wood is used in this for easier wood cutting for manufacturing.

Pine Woods are soft wood. Which will nick and dent easily compared to hard woods.

Due to the manufacturing process for the Light Diffusers and the LED Strips cut outs, the Pine wood will have some rough cuts. This is considered an acceptable standard to us as it does not impair the usability of the keyboard shelf.

Wood can be sanded for a nicer finishing touch if necessary.
